Re: CKG Kickstarter
The past two leather bound books with my name embossed in the cover have been worth the extra cost. They are very nice. But I do not know what this one will look like, but I hear, no high cotton content is coming.. so expect another heavy book. The M&T book must be able to do at least d4 bludgeoning...

CKG Kickstarter
So I have a nice leather bound PH and M&T mega book. Pleased with both.
I hope to do the same for the CKG, I also hope they give the option for high cotton content, no gloss, paper.

Re: Experience in general
I personally have not used training cost and time to train, and having to find and pay for mysterious trainers, one for every class, since the 80s. Its all so contrived. It fits OK for big city social setting, rigid class structures, etc. Some classes it makes sense.. but creating the chance for tra...

I hope you are right and I too have little interest in other platforms... I learned boards for CnC here on this forum... I still do not get most of it.
That said, it might just take more to get the folks to post these days....

The new M&T is great, loose pages are great too. I dropped the extra and got the leather bound version.. great stuff in there and worth having.

Re: Finesse weapons
If a PC has one or two high scores they are usually in class prime. STR for fighter and DEX for say thief. Ranger might make a great example. If DEX is the only really high score then do you force the ranger to fight giants with ranged weapons to get his best to hit or allow the ranger to finesse hi...

I have played on Fantasy Grounds every other Wed... good fun, no dice, but it is still a game. Monday nights right now are my primary nights to teach tai chi.. so for now, Monday is out for regular games without cancelling class. I will look into those other forms/tools you note. How many of you are...

Re: Help me decide
Why would you limit your world to one of those settings... they all existed.. maybe not in the same place or the same time.. but its easy enough to do what I do. the world is about 900 AD and all the best bits of history, legend, faith, and fantasy (for our gaming purposes) all exist... Norse is up ...

Re: How to cure an Undead
I have a group of priests who lost their way... their spiritual leader (the head priest aka abbot) was corrupted by demons and he become undead (Heccava of a sort).. one of my players, when they started their research on what to do to beat this undead brotherhood in their keep with unhallow and dese...

How to cure an Undead
What method would one use to "save" and undead... unwillingly created undead... how do you get them back to life? UnCreate Undead (reverse of create undead) should create a simple corpse. Or just destroy the undead now you have a body... Then raise or resurrect? Atonement? Then person is back to lif...

Norse giant's, they grow them tall up North... good call.
Goliath was maybe 6 or 7 foot tall.. so giant is relative.
Dragons... too easy to kill in the old days... many attempts, some successful, to make them tough.

Re: Minimizing math while also balancing the "Siege Engine"
OK, I get that now... I just had in my mind that normal was normal for 1st level... and thus would be almost automatic for high level... heroic for first level would be almost impossible AND much easier with level increases... I had the "challenge" and their names being fixed and only level increasi...

Goodevil, the half orc cleric... same character in every game, no one else wanted to play the cleric, cost you a gold piece per hp of curing to "pay for the prayer"...

if it all hits later it would be call "delay death". Delay poison is a wonky spell sometimes of little value.
