Re: Seriously whats up with the +(number) with monster xp?

I see alot of people trying to combine 2 different systems. The detailed chart break down with special I II III are for doing your monsters or figuring a leveled character. Monster entries in the books have an xp + (#) the # is mutilplied by the creatures Hit points to get a product you add to the t...

Re: SIEGE Check: 12/18 method vs. +6 to the die roll

My players want a target number before they will roll. So i figure any TL add it to 18 and tell them what to roll.
They then roll and state their bonuses including +6 for prime. works for us.

Re: Seriously whats up with the +(number) with monster xp?

To save time... the + is number of xp per hit point the monster has.
So you have to do a small ammount math.

Re: C&C Attributes to Zero

I understand what stat damage is supposed to do. I have used it, and i have used the old AD&D level drain. Stat drain just doesnt cause fear, and worst of all you never drain more then once or twice on the same PC. Since losing 1 to 3 points in pretty much nothing when you have a stat in the teens, ...

Re: Classic Monsters The Manual

I just realised there is no mention of the monsters from Black Libriam of Nartulus in the back of Classic Monsters.
Are there any other books with lots of monsters also being left out?

Re: Classic Monsters The Manual

Dont precieve my bad joke of release time to be anything more then blowing off steam. I want this book... but i want it right.

If art has to be redone. redo it. I want as much art in a monster book as possible.

I will also chime in on the index of stats.. Alphabitized is better then by book.

Dont bother with Thac0. Just give the monster +HD to hit like C&C monsters get.

I think the b&w art feels more like text book.
Plus the newer manga style art in wotc books turns me off.

Not a fan of the covers. The faux book look is lame.
These are less lame then the 3e covers but still lame.

I am happy with the reprint though.

Re: What do you think is the most powerful class in the game

There in beings another problem though.

If class level =/= class level and it should be roughly balenced by xp....
How come modules are rated as for levels x to y ?

Re: What do you think is the most powerful class in the game

I guess the bigger questio is , What do you mean by more powerful? Toe to toe fighting? Ability to conquer lands?? Who can make the best army? Highest str? I never understood the idea from 3rd and 4th ed that classes should be balenced. Each has its strong and weak points. Depending on circumstances...

Re: Monsters and Treasure, 3rd printing

you mean 2nd and 3rd.
There is not a 4th print as of yet.

3rd print.....Layout is cleaner... the shark stats are missing. (print the erratta, put in book)
Has 2 or 3 monsters more then the old version.

Other then the few monsters difference i dont see any real difference.
