Re: Tailer Park Boys is BACK!!

For those of you who know and love those rapscallions, Ricky, Julian and Bubbles, better known as the Trailer Park Boys, Netflix has funded Season 8! It was just released. So after 7 years of waiting for more crazy antics from those guys, we got another ten episodes! I love Ricky, but Mr. Lahey is ...

Re: TLG 8126 Codex of Aihrde (Preorder)

Based on the thread so far, the last update was over 2 weeks ago and in it we were told this was going to the printer "soon." Can we please get a solid understanding of what "soon" means? At this point I'm not all that interested in "we hope" updates. It's been so long that nothing short of, "It's ...

Re: Everyone has preferences: C&C 5th-6th editions

I am not a fan of the glossy paper. I'm not sure why glossy paper is popular in these types of rulebooks. Matte finish, or keep the non-gloss is where I'd like to see the PHB. I don't get the glossy fascination, but many, many high end books use it so there must be some reason. I don't get glossy c...

This is one of the few times that getting TLG Kickstarter products shipped after all the U.S. pledgers get theirs, work in my favour. I got the printed version of the "Map Pack" with my order. So, yes it does (Did?) exist.

Yeah, this isn't so bad. I remember when the GURPS 4th edition set came out and the massive problems they had with their binding. That was unavoidably damaging. On top of that I received Characters and Campaigns with the books bound so that the pages where upside down and backward to the covers. I g...

Don't Nukem, Duke, till you check this out.

Stumbled across Nukemap , the other day. It uses Google Map and when you fill in your criteria, for a nuke (Such as the city/area you want to target, the basic yield of the nuke and if you want it to detonate on the ground or the air.) then, on the map it'll show you the radiation radius, fireball r...

These are always so hard to diagnose, over the internet. But, the vibration at only higher speeds sometimes suggest it could be a wheel bearing. If that is what it is be prepared for a fairly high cost for repair. Also if it is just the wheel bearing then the mechanic is right in saying just driving...

Thought I'd move this from the Black Box thread so it didn't clutter up that thread. Re: Do you fudge die rolls? Creature Stats? On the fly?

Since the CK in most cases is free to make up a CL and keep it secret, fudging the actual roll is sort of odd. It's more likely the CK will change the CL secretly between attempts. I try not to do this; I like the idea of a CL becoming fixed in time so it becomes clear to players that as they advan...

I own none of them. All my rpg resources have been spent here with TLG.

If I would've bought anything, it probably would've been the FATE stuff. Finding people willing to play FATE proves difficult, heck finding anyone to play anything has proven difficult.

I just view it as a rearrangement of something that already exists. In this case it is living matter and living matter ages, so the older you get the older your living matter gets and is still subject to ageing affects no matter what form you take. One could go in a much more complex relationship be...

When people say they roll everything in the open, I think that is generally code for "I roll everything in the open except for checks the players shouldn't know the results of such as secret door detection, trap door detection, wandering monster checks, etc." Rolling everything in the open just ref...

Indiegogo allows for Paypal which is huge advantage and the problem with Kickstarter is that Amazon Payments is *not* used for projects created outside the US. I roll everything in the open though, so that helps keep things transparent and fair. I know many people have these same views, but I don't think I'll be abandoning secret rolls anytime soon. Especially for any game that has things like random encounters, discover hidden doors etc. I do many "faux"...

Re: Do you fudge die rolls? Creature Stats? On the fly?

I admittedly fudge things, on occasion. It is a very rare occurrence and only if the situation demands it, in the sense that it would add drama, or another way of looking at it, it would've taken away some drama. Rarely does this happen when it is for a foil of my making, I mostly do it in favour of...

The last time I had talked to them about this, they weren't convinced about the necessity of changing the XP values, mainly because of the fear that it would be seen as a major rule change, when in fact it's errata. I'm with you. I don't see how this can be considered a rule change, when no rules a...

To my mind, that's errata correction, not rules change. I agree fully here. Please incorporate the errata and fix discrepancy across all Three Sisters . The main reason I backed the Kickstarter was to get the three books "in harmony" with each other. Thanks for your efforts. I agree with this and e...

I have to admit that around the time of the 3 sisters Kickstarter, there was all the buzz for 5e D&D. So, I had a choice. I could only, realistically, support one rpg and I had to decide if I was going to continue with C&C or jump ship to D&D. The biggest pro for D&D was I knew it'd be much easier t...
