Back in the late 1990's (I think) there was Dragon Dice. And, as far as I could tell, I was the only one that really liked that game. :D

This is what happens when you skim posts. Sometimes you miss the funny stuff.

To go along with my original dice I also still have my original CR bag that is also in excellent condition.

Re: What RPG do you think holds up best over many levels or.

The Burning Wheel does away with much of the Munchkinism you find in practically ever rpg ever made and you can play long stretches without your character ever approaching super-human or god like stratums.

GURPS can be fiddled with so your whole game can pretty much stay in the "gritty" area.

Re: Alea Iacta Est! The Dice Thread

Well, I don't have a crap ton of dice, but I do still have the very first set of dice I ever bought, 20+ years ago. And it's all there, I haven't lost a single one. I don't use them anymore. They live in a clear dice case on my bookshelf. I still have my original set of dice that I bought, I think,...

If you want to run it the way Stephen was proposing, you use your class prime for all class abilities. If that means you use dexterity to read scrolls, so be it. I don't remember if I made an opinion, in that thread, but I can say now that I really got what Stephen was trying to get at and thought ...

Every printer I've ever owned (Besides my old dot-matrix.) has a two-sided option. It's always in page set-up or something of a similar nature. The book it comes with usually tells you how to do it. I've pretty much have always used Lulu. I don't mind the shipping as Lulu is pretty much set-up that ...

[Besides, I'm a sucker for a good cliche. They're cliche for a reason. Anyway, thank you one and all for your input. Re: Hey buddy, can you spare an Apocalypse?

A group of Druids observed the world and mans place in it. Their conclusion was that man was a scourge upon the world, destroying everything they get into contact with, in other words evil. This desperate Druidic faction, through a long complicated ritual, created an "invisible flood" that radiated ...

Also I am very interested in the Umbrage Saga boxed set that Sir Ironside mentioned but I do not see it in the store. Am I missing something? Sir Ironside, why don't you like Mongoose? If you dont want to talk about it, no worries. My problem is with Mongoose as a company that has prevented me from buying anything from them, so I have no idea how different it would be. :(

For lay-outs I far prefer Quark over inDesign. Though inDesign is designed to play nicely with Photoshop and Illustrator, Quark is still so much easier to use. So if you ever get to the point were you want to invest in upgrades the Photoshop/ Illustrator/Quark route is the one I'd go with.
