Re: THE FIRST CKG EVER!

You can also take it apart and check the contact pads, clean them with contact cleaner or lemon juice or something like that. Remove debris and other such things and put it back together. Keyboards are pretty easy to maintain if they are well built. [I've been using the same keyboard since 1997 and ...

Re: Forum Limits

I looked at my local copy and the defaults are 256K per file with a 50MB hard limit for the server. [Which is one of the problem the Trolls are working on limited drive space, we could not put uncompressed database dumps up on the server because it was 200+MB and they didn't have that left in drive ...

Ok maybe I'm kidding, in the current adventure cycle it would be Grey Dwarves but over all Humans.

No not hacked, just pretty sure the virtual-server it was not configured to handle the added load of the forum. It is either the concurrent settings of the webserver or the max clients to the database. [The error is not helpful and someone would have to go to the actual logs or at least check the cu...

Re: Forum Error

I'm seeing it also and was just thinking about posting. I'm guess this is a backend config issue. Either some setting in IIS/6.0 or perhaps the client connections to mysql. I'm not a windows guy so I think this needs to be brought up the host, checking the logs and mysql extended status should give ...

Re: More web-store problems!

It would be pretty strange for the DB to return the wrong data, I would be more prone to believe that somehow there was a cookie clash or something browser side that had to do with php session info. Did you happen to get a cut and paste of the shipping info? They could from that at least see who's a...

Re: Where is the Errata?

Part of the limitation of the scrape was to lose links, attachments, and sticky-ness... So the Thread that was titled Errata Archives did make it.... Here http://www.trolllord.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=5492 But the links got lost. So either Traveller can edit his original post and get a modera...

Re: Old, old TLG forum

That's a shame. I know that a lot of what I was interested in was some of the ideas tossed around during early brainstorming. It would be unfortunate if that stuff got lost somehow. I was also curious about when I started posting about C&C, since the post counts from the earliest board didn't...

It has not come up in my game yet but..... The mortal cap is 25 [the tables go out to 30 for monsters & gods] Each type of Magic can be used only once per character per attribute. The Magics are Wish, Miracle, Alter Reality, Act of Nature [yes each class has it's 9th lvl Wish like spell] + Stat Book...

Yes I agree these are nice done. I had just spent some time a few weeks converting the Demons, Devils, Angels using AD&D bases with some cross referencing to the SRD for progression of AC and HD etc... Now you got me wondering if I should just steal yours :P

Lots of imprecision has got us to this point in time :)... As I warned some stuff would get lost in the scrape and parse. Re: Where is my thread on the new boards :(

There were a handful of posts that failed to insert correctly. Sadly yours was one of them, at 107 pages long it is kind of tricky to reach out and fix quickly. I found the error in the scrap data that made it barf now I just need to figure out how to put it back [safely] into the new board. Hang in...

Re: Trouble staying logged in

Alright I think I fixed it. That was my fault the cookie domain was set to the hostname of my desktop ;) so there was no way for the server to use the cookie it was setting. It should now be giving out valid cookies with the www.trolllord.com domain and forums as the path. Thanks for pointing it out...

Fin,

If I close my browser and come back I do not login automatically. Perhaps something is set wrong. It's got to be cookie related.

Picking up where this thread left-off on the old forum. :) 3. Digest sized core books! Interestingly, the CKG is included. I'm guessing those bundles won't ship right away. Not really. The is far less elegant then you'd imagine think duct tape, rubber bands, a diesel engine, and a guy with a sledge hammer. Stuff will be lost, stuff will be broken, but at the end of the day 99% of the topics will end up on the other side..
