Obviously only the trolls can say for sure but my guess is the multiple attacks [claw, claw, bite, wing buffet, tail slap] at 20-30HD [that's +20-30 to hit] made grown men cry.

Remember this means it only needs to touch not hit. See the touch rules on Armor Class. It makes this class of beast terrifying.

Does chart 16.6 page 240 of the CKG seem in error with regards to the EV's listed? I was just looking over it and I can't figure out what was meant. The Elf Mail Shirt is listed as 10lbs and 5 EV here... Other armor is also listed oddly? Did the table get messed up or do I just not understand.
