Re: Experience in general

I tried using the training rules and it turned into a disaster for the campaign. Training works well if you have simple and quick adventures with plenty of downtime in between them. But if the PCs are participating in a time-sensitive campaign, having one of them take a few weeks off to train, then ...

Telhawk, you've sold me on this movie! I'm going to have to watch it now, haven't seen an honest-to-God horror movie in a long time.

Re: Monsters & Treasure 5th edition

I think I will eventually pick this one up, just don't know if I can justify it now that I have multiple copies of M&T and just bought a pristine copy of Classic Monsters for for $5 at the TLG store (on sale now!) BTW, not criticizing glossy pages and full color artwork by any means, but I gotta say...

No, the cover you see is going to be the standard cover, that's the one with the wizard holding the book over his head. I don't think anyone has seen the alternate cover yet.

Re: Regeneration vs Resurrection

I think that if you are going to be using house rules that include dismembering body parts or having broken bones being the results of say, critical hits for example, then there should be a way for a cleric to heal those wounds at a lower level. In a more orthodox game I don't think it's a problem, ...

Re: Hold Undead Spell

Perhaps in addition to turning undead a cleric could have the option of holding undead using the same ability. Turning could have the effect of causing undead to flee or to stay frozen in place depending on the cleric's command.

np, had fun doing it. Hopefully these pregens will help somebody with starting up a game or they could be used as potential NACs as well.

Lejendary Adventure™ Pregen Avatars Thread

Perhaps this might come in handy for those that are about to play a game of Lejendary Adventure but don't have the knowledge and/or the time to generate an Avatar. I'll be adding Avatars to this thread periodically, starting with The Essentials but then moving on to The Lejendary Rules for All Playe...

It's easier and faster. Don't get me wrong, I love D&D but C&C is the better option.

Re: Repost of Steve's update from Facebook

But it is good to see that TLG isn't abandoning C&C for 5e, though it seemed like they were for a minute. R- I had the same concerns. As much as I'm open to playing 5e, I don't really want to play the 5e versions of the C&C modules but would rather see more coming out for C&C. I hope the Trolls don...

Re-discovered an old boardgame I had gifted to me as a kid. It's called Sirocco - Desert Raiders Battle Game (from TSR). From the box description it reads: SIROCCO is an exciting game of desert combat for two players. Simple and easy to learn, battle develops fast and furiously! Each player represen...

I was wrong, in fact it IS in the first printing of Monsters & Treasure, starting on page 89, "Sentient Magic Items". :)
