My Long Awaited Return (Just Kidding)
Greetings All, It has been a very long time since I have graced these boards here at the Troll Dens. Real life kept me away far too long. Now I once more have time again to begin to resume my role playing game of choice C&C. So I thought I would pop back in and see what was going on. As I have t...

My favorate, and the one I am using is now is Castle of the Mad Archmage. I believe the new and improved version is now available on RPGNow/DriveThruRPG.

Re: New to Amazing Adventures
If you really like Sin City, then there is good game out there called "Streets of Bedlam: A Savage World of Crime & Corruption", which utilizes the Savage Worlds RPG system. You would have to buy the Savage Worlds RPG plus the cost of Streets of Bedlum. This world is tailor made as a S...

I love the books, but I have not used them for any AA games. The Dresden Files would make a cool series of adventures though.

Re: Stuff I'd Buy if TLG Made It
I would like to see a M&T book covering demons, devils, and other outer planar monsters. Tomb of the Unclean is good start though.
I would also like to see CZ returned to those who love it the most, i.e. the Trolls! I know it will probably never happen, but I can hope.

Re: Sci Fi and Supers Savage Worlds pre orders...
I like Savage Worlds a lot, Deadlands Reloaded in particular! We have had a lot of fun with Deadlands. I also like their version of Thrilling Tales. I have never used the SW system for straight fantasy or SciFi though, but I do have the Horror Campanion that I use once in a while for Thrilling Tales...

Re: C&C goodness converted from D20 vs. AD&D; your preferenc
I have always found it easier to convert the older 1st ED. AD&D modules to use in C&C. Mostly it is just adjusting the AC and a few other things. I ran 1st Ed. Tegel Manor (JG Version) in my C&C campaign and it was real easy to do on the fly. Conversion of the d20 stuff was more of a cha...

If I remember correctly, one of the Trolls said they did 1/2 level because during play testing the full level bonus made the dragons way too powerful for players to handle.

I pretty much use the advantages, secondary skills, the expanded attribute chart, the explanations on how illusions work, and the equipment weathering and combat wastage tables. I also plan on using the extended class abilities once my players get up there.

Dracyian & Lurker,
It is a shame that the Trolls were not allowed to continue expanding on Gary's work for Yggsburg, as well as Castle Z.

Know Alignment Spell?
I was preping for a run this weekend which involved the players running into groups of fey. I just noticed, after all these years, that Pixies have a spell-like ability called Know Alignment. But guess what? There is no such spell in the Player's Handbook. Was this spell accidently left out, is it a...

I would recommend the Free City of Eskadia/Jack of Lies, the City of Dro Mandras, or the Town of Kalas, all Troll Lord products. For my Greyhawk based campaign, I took the Free City of Eskadia/Jack of Lies, modified it a little to make it fit and dropped in place of Admundfort (Iuz no longer control...

I don't have my copy of AA in front of me right now, but one thing remember wanting to see was an expansion on fire arms/weapons and vehicles under equipment.
I really like this game by the way. Haven't had a chance to run it yet, but I love pulp, and this looks like a good system to run with it.

Well, I am back!
I have been absent from the forums for a long time (two years). What with the move to Oklahoma, new job, getting sent out on temporary duty here and there, getting my oldest into and through his first semester of college, coaching soccer, etc. Been very busy. But at last, I now have the time to retu...
