Re: What gaming stuff are you reading?

Marmoreal Tomb box set and Warhammer 40,000 Rogue Trader (Reprint). I had hoped to dig into the Marmoreal Tomb months ago, but still haven't gotten to it. Any thoughts so far? I had a long reply and then I lost it all. Ughh. So here is the short of it. Great presentation, however the contents are c...

Re: What boardgame(s) are you playing?

Played a few games recently. Tried out Poo-pocalypse is a silly bathroom humor card game, and got in several games of Talisman recently. Tailsman is another game I had to encourage everyone to try out and now that's all they want to play! I have 4th Edition Revised and was surprised to find that the...

Re: What boardgame(s) are you playing?

Lurker, Sounds like you got a lot of great games this Christmas. Been a while since I cracked out Lords of Waterdeep. Fury of Dracula is on the acquistion list for some time in the future, by all accounts is great game. (assuming Furry of Dracula was a typo, but for all I know it could be a Vampire ...

Re: Anyone Have The Undying War?

Persimmon, Yes, got both the C&C version and the 5e version when I backed the Kickstarter. I asked early on if they were going to do a C&C version and glad they went with it. Presentation is beautiful and it is great to see everything in full color, especially the maps which are excellent. I...

Go0gleplex, thanks for the tip on City of Heroes! I didn't realize it made a return. Good news! I'll need to try it out along with Warhammer Age of Reckoning,

Ruins of Kuthrad Ondal and the Tree of Life (A0)

Spoilers Ahead to A0-The Rising Knight and A1-Assualt on Blacktooth Ridge. I'm reading through the Undying War book from the Kickstarter, and I came across the mention of elvish towers and a Tree of Life. I wanted to get someone's take on it, perhaps even one of the trolls as it seems there is some...

Re: What boardgame(s) are you playing?

Heroquest, Labyrinth, Smashup, Munchkin (with Christmas Expansions), and DungeonQuest (Revised Edition) are the latest board game fare. Had to press everyone to try DungeonQuest as they were disinterested at first. Now that's all they want to play. Got in the new Monk expansion for Heroquest, hoping...

Swords & Wizardry Complete Revised has arrived as did the adventures Legacy of Blackscale Lagoon and The Doom of Malakar so those three are on deck.

Twilight 2000 4th Edition Urban Operations and the new 10th edition of Warhammer 40k rulebook are what I'm reading at the moment.

Re: What boardgame(s) are you playing?

Hero Quest continues to be a favorite around the table as is King of Tokyo. The costume cards with the Halloween Expansion are used but haven't delved into using the other expansion (Wicked tracker, monster power ups, or the extra rules for cthulu and kong). These two remain a favorite of the grands...

Had to come here and say +1 to the return of Yggsburgh! I have the book, but like Ancalagon, I'm voting with my dollars to see the return of Castle Zagyag in its entirety! oh yeah, and to get the PDF Of Yggsburgh too! That alone is worth the price of admission. On another couple notes... 1. Magician...

The Elves continue to stare at me. Partially done but decided to pause on them and work a bit on some Flames of War. I have an airborne company that has one platoon done and the rest assembled and primed. So as time allows, I'm working on those one at a time. Trying to figure out a base texture for ...

How about you? What do you like most about the WoG box set? Any particular nations / regions capturing your attention? Apologies on the late reply here. Mystical Companions (C&C)

I made an order a few days ago and one the books was Mystical Companions (C&C Version). I had it several years ago, loaned it, and sort of forgot about it. Anyway, saw it on sale at the TLG store and decided to get a new copy. I have the 5e version in digits, but I do like hard copies. It came i...

Re: Codex Sinarum at Last!

A few hours left on the Kickstarter. I think I'm in for the print and digital. I saw in the comments where Brian Young said the following: The 'Codex Nihonica' and 'Codex Mongolica' both will help to fill in this gap too in their own way when brought together. So it appears that Japan and Mongolia w...

I figured with the various what are you...threads (i.e. reading, playing, videogaming, etc.) One might as well add "What are you painting?" At the moment, I'm on a Middle Earth Strategy Battle Games painting kick. I've followed the game since its inception and managed to collect all the st...

White Dward 480 Warhammer The Horus Heresy - Liber Astartes. I have the box set staring at me, along with the Burning of Propsero. I've got the Sisters of Silence and the Custodes assembled and primed from the latter. I figure I'll just go ahead and paint up a Space Wolves legion when I get some time.
