Re: Official D&D 5th Edition for Fantasy Grounds 2
Yeah, the groups I play in use Roll 20 or Maptools. C&C is easy enough that it doesn't really need a "rules set". As for 5E, I am playing it on Thursdays, and the more I play it the less I am liking it, so... Same thing happened to me. I got the box set and loved what i saw, downloade...

Re: Should clerics have a d10 hit die?
Hit die should be based on race instead of class. I was of this mind for a while too, and wouldn't freak out of someone wanted to play with such rules. But then I decided that since HP is an abstraction, not just meat (size/strength,etc) that it must come from somewhere else. I decided that somewhe...

Re: Adventurer rations/provisions
US hunting was the land of plenty after we committed genocide to the natives... over populated Europe might be harder to live by hunting, but most fantasy worlds filled with monsters must have plenty of game... so hunt and fish should be easy hunting if you want an all meat diet... get the Druid in...

Re: I love Shadowrun, but...
I don't know what it is, getting old and lazy, or what, but the new 5th edition is just getting so bogged down with rules minutiae that I am not buying anymore books for it. All I see is my brain melting from all the rules details, just like I did back with 3E, and I am not going down that road aga...

"Mine, the drow!"
I agree with that but also add that I am sick of every game broup I run or see at the FLGS having at least one CN drow ranger that has been forced to flee from his/her home and reside on the surface.

Re: Miniatures murder roleplay.
I use mini's for combat. There typically is very little to zero role play in combat, with or without mini's. With mini's, and terrain, you can climb up on top of a rock outcropping, and then leap onto the backs of the Dark Unicorn, stabbing it, then making a DEX check to become an instant bronc bus...

Sucks to hear about you guys going through this. Sad fact is that you guys are in the majority. I got my divorces out of the way when I was young so i guess I have that going for me, which is nice. Fact is that outside of wishing to have children there is not a single good reason to ever marry a wes...

Tried a game of Stone age the other day. It was good. i liked it. Picked up Imperial assault but have not played it yet. Seems to be Descent with star wars as the theme so should be good.

One thing I have learned with WotC acting a fool and what not is that it is pretty easy to write ones own game from the ground up if one wishes. I did and I am just a goofy EMT/FF (retired) so I am sure some of you educated lawyers types could do it as well if you wished. Not to take anything away f...
