Re: C&C Character manager
just got an email pointing to this: https://trolllord.com/product/cc-character-manager/ I wonder if one can program alternate ability score modifiers and what not? Now that is a good idea. I preferer some of the CKG modifiers to the standard btb, so if that is an option I'd be more interested in it.

Re: New Kickstarter GG's World Building 10
I went in on the first day to earn 7 books in PDF format. I'm there with you . I have all the old books in hard back, and it will be good to have them in a good pdf version, at least to have them easy access. Plus, I want the Trolls to do more C&C and GG stuff and get away from primarily 5e foc...

Re: What gaming stuff are you reading?
Thanks to the GM Day Sale on DTRPG I've been going through an eclectic mix. Some of the old Forgotten Realms 2e books, I forget how much I LOVED FR back in the day, especially the Gray Box time frame, until I start rereading FR stuff (not the 3e or more recent stuff). Then some Traveller - 2300 v2 s...

Re: What boardgame(s) are you playing?
A few weeks ago I had to work late and on a Saturday, so I was brain fried and the scheduled RPG night had to be switched to a board game night. We ended up playing Mountains of Madness. First time to ever play it. However my girls had watched a lot of 'how to play' on youtube so they understood it ...

Re: Shadows of the Halfling Hall starting level
I'm a first-time CK getting ready to run this as a one-shot for my local TTRPG group, and as I'm building pregens for it, I'm wondering what level to do it at. I know it says for level 1-3, but I was hoping for more guidance right that. Right now I'm building characters at 2000XP so some are at lev...

I've ran 1e & 2e adventures with C&C. You just have to change the AC and modify the spells a little. It is easy enough to do that for the most part I can do it on the fly with min notes.
I've only idea mined 3e and 5e so am not spun up on using C&C for them.

Re: The Black Death as an encounter/situation for PC's
After reading many first hand accounts from the first half of the 2nd millennium; From Japan to Africa to the British Isles. I came up with simple "encounter data" that is pretty accurate as to probability of catching, dying or, surviving this event. When entering an infected inhabited ar...

Re: Importing Villain Groups from City of Heroes
I've been running Call of Cthulhu Delta Green over the last year for my girls' game and starting a Traveller game for them, so 'villain groups' are a key part of them. the girls brushed up against a cult of South American Vampire/Demon worshipers, another group of Ratlings, and then some Snake worsh...

Re: Wands/Command words
As long as it worked and everyone had fun, that is the goal!! Great point, and it is what I told my daughter when she ran her first ever planned Traveller one off game a few weeks ago. Rule 1 - don't let the rules stop the fun. I think some times we can forget that. I like using "Abracadaver&q...

Re: What boardgame(s) are you playing?
With the Christmas break and then the cold weather, the girls and I (well more the girls and their friends, with me every once in a while) we got a lot of board games in over the last month. Lords of Waterdeep, Dead of Winter, Furry of Dracula, a few games of House on the Hill, and then after Christ...

Re: Runemark: Static Runes
I will also note that it IS possible that these three runes, Hold, Air, and Water, were published in the original runemark book - which I do not have a copy of and is now out of print - BUT I highly doubt it. It is just very TLG to have a bad example and keep reprinting it. Sadly to true ... It has...

Re: PCs Starting at Level 5
Hi all This is my first post, so be gentle with me. I am running a game for friends. We haven't played D&D since 3rd edition, although we started together as kids with AD&D/D&D in the early 1980s. We all wanted a bit of nostalgia, so I agreed to run an old AD&D adventure using C&...

I gamed off and on with Kayolan over the last 15 years or so. He had been absent from my game for several years, but when I started up a new campany this past summer, I invited him to join. He did and it was great to get to reconect with him. He will be missed tremndously. R- +1 to that. Can't beli...

Re: Knight's Combat Dominance: How many rounds does it last?
I think the OP was thinking Battlefield Dominance, which is the label for the feature she was describing. Although Combat Dominance would work for a knight too. I haven't been a fan of the class. I agree with you on that for the btb class. Which is sad, because back in the 1e 2e days Paladin and Ca...

Re: Weapon Expertise
To make fighters more interesting, in my home brew, I give them a 'fighting style' at 1st level - original idea from a Crusader mag, and I think modified by some of Rigon's HRs Then at ??level, depending on the power level of the game, a weapon group specialty. That was taken directly from Rigon's H...

I always liked that saying and in the military I sa...

It's cool to be that recent discoveries have turned the commonly-accepted view of civilization and human origins on its head. When I was in school, the Australopithicus > Homo Habilis > Homo Erectus > Neanderthal > Homo Sapiens path was set in stone and taught as indisputable fact. Now most of that...

Being an archeology geek, I've kept up on the latest sites in Turkey, like Gobekli Tepe, about 10,000 BC! Lots of Bronze-ish Age stuff to bring into that. Sumer wasn't the beginning :) Atlantis could figure into all that too. And whoever built the Sphinx. The water damage would have been at least 7...
