Re: Q/A With the Trolls
Since they put the Borderhounds RPG into Free RPG Day 2017 (the gem of the lot lot me), does this mean they have some upcoming plans for releasing adventures for the 'game?'

Re: Brimstone and the Borderhounds Kickstarter
I picked up the 2017 Free RPG DAY booklet and am interested. It reminds me a bit of Gantz. I can't find a lot of current info on it. What's the scoop? After my enjoyment of Spellcraft & Swordplay I'm willing to see more Vey work.

Re: Fantasy Writing
Been around. Decided to not accept offers to publish as they did not provide enough return to matter. I've seen my name in print as author. That's all I ever wanted. The fact that I got to work alongside Gary at times... well, that's even better. It was fun working with that man. What little I did....

Re: What other rpgs do you like to play?
I should probably downsize. I have a whole shelf of games I don't really like or simply doubt I'll ever try or try again. Still, it's hard. I like my gaming collection despite some of it being boxed in the basement. Lately started pulling out Kobold's Ate My Baby 1e (never tried any of their later e...

Re: Returning to C&C after a long hiatus
I'm back as well. It's like learning AD&D all over again. :) "I thought I knew that rule?" <flip pages> ;) It works. I like that there's an active community. I certainly would never have known about TLG without Gary pushing me to try them out. Plus, why convert Castle Zagyg when I have...

Re: Kickstarters
I did at least four of their KSs and it still feels weird that they started more before finishing previous ones. They do seem to always eventually deliver however order fulfillment has always been problematic. Have they fixed the typos from 1st printing of the PH or are the ones in the 6th printing ...

Pulled out my D20 version of Vakhund to help make heads or tails of the C&C version. Much clearer now.

Re: What other rpgs do you like to play?
Achtung! Cthulhu How is it? I have Three Kings and have Hmmed and Hawed about the core books for a long time. I've played Gear Krieg, Godlike, and Weird War Two - so while this sounds like what I had wanted all along, I've hesitated in snagging yet another WW2 game for $$ I really shouldn't spend. ...

Re: First Aid (Spell) & Disease
So, for First Aid to have benefits beyond halting a character from bleeding out, one would need to integrate general infections to untreated wounds.... It would also add to a secondary skill in Healing.

I've been scratching my head over Vakhund for awhile until I came across my old D20 version and found it far simpler with much better maps than the most recent C&C version.....

Re: Finally got Hackmaster 5th edition...
What I enjoyed from 4e was the amusing parody effect. The 2e stuff I mostly removed (specialist casters and the like) but I enjoyed the feel. Does 5e capture the same parody feel? Will 5e feel at all like D&D?
I always wished that 4e would have been revised before they moved on.

Re: Modifying attributes through training
I like the idea of very slowly increasing attributes, but I would think by about 5th level or so, this might stabilize and even start dropping. You'd have your level bonus to compensate. By slowly increasing attributes, I mean using percentage on each one and adding anywhere from 1d3 to 1d20 based o...

Re: Anyone roll ability scores btb?
Current campaign was BtB. I intended to not let them do that "place your stats wherever you want them" but didn't realize it was in there until the characters were made. In the end, no one has any high stats. I think the highest is 14. There are a few low stats. I personally prefer picking...

My own, but occasionally I interject Learth and Aldrazar stuff. Once upon a time I used Greyhawk, but almost exclusively my own.

Twitter has been a good source of info for me (road conditions, etc) but what amazed me is what a great platform for gaming it was. Forces people to be concise, there's a die roller, it works. Re: First Aid (Spell) & Disease
Oke dokely re: Attack. The spell prevents infection, not Disease. I see. I guess I took that a rat bite style disease came via infection. The character was diseased immediately however the wording of infection threw me a little. It's likely too much to worry about via mechanics. Two Giant Rats took ...

First Aid (Spell) & Disease
So the First Aid spell "prevents disease." Has anyone used it like that effectively? If you're bitten by a Giant Rat and fail the Con save but have First Aid cast right away? It's a 0-level spell so it surely can't last long regarding preventative care.... Remove Disease.... 4th level if I...
