Re: Great Scimitar
Wouldn't the extra cost of the great scimitar be the explanation as to why it is superior to both the scimitar and the two handed sword? If the great scimitar is two handed, the only difference between it and the two handed sword is 1 less EV, but you pay almost double the cost. I considered leavin...

Re: The Ninth Hour Social Diversion Society
I Wizzby's eyed view for the game on 3-28-20: Wizzby woke up in a fury of excitement. He had just met Segojen, aka The Lord of the Burrow, aka The Badger, and was given a gift! His skin now resembles that of bark, strong and hard, yet flexible. They need to hear about this…wake up everyone! The exci...

Re: The Towering Infurno - Umbrage Saga
An inspiration token to Bloodbeard! A few memory aids: The group started out the night at the bottom of the stairs where they had killed the gang of Kobolds and their leader. As they entered into the room with the wolf cages (Unklar statue still buuuuurrrrrrrrrring), they ran into three goblins. The...

Re: Organizations
Tree,
I am working on making some guilds / orders for use in the umbrage saga. I'd love to see anything you have worked up, if you are willing to share!
Thanks,
Tanner

Re: The Ninth Hour Social Diversion Society
Here are my quick notes of what happened over the extent of the Wizzby group. Some of this is going back 5 years, so there is going to be a lot missing. Feel free to add on with anything I missed! 1. All the characters (apprentices) and their masters meet up at a festival a. Apprentices commanded by...

Re: Letner Castle / Mickael Castle
Thanks for the response; It looks like I'll just pick a reasonable spot on my own. I tried to scour the maps for the locations (there are quite a lot of castles listed on the maps), but I didn't know if I just didn't see it. I wonder if there is a searchable PDF of the cradle of life area somewhere....

Letner Castle / Mickael Castle
I was reading through the Letners guild (from the codex) description and was wondering if there is an established location, on the codex maps, for any of the following: Letner Castle / Town Letner Ridge Mickael Castle I am running a group through the Rising Knight (A0) and was thinking this area sho...

Re: The Towering Infurno - Umbrage Saga
Boom! Another great post by Bloodbeard, with great pictures! The game was very roleplay heavy, but I think everyone did a good job paying attention enough to fit most of the pieces together. I think you have a good launching point for the assault on Gritznak. Additional side notes that may not have ...

Re: The Ninth Hour Social Diversion Society
Wizzby the Anklebiter: With the images of the grisly slaying of the innocent and peace loving bears freshly upon my mind, I quitted the scene in terror. Incapacitated by the grief and misery imparted upon me by the dastardly bear slaying dӕmon, I stumbled blindly through the forest with no regard fo...

Re: The Ninth Hour Social Diversion Society
Perseus Perseus grew up in the Greek city-state of Alexandria Troas on the Eastern shore of the Aegean Sea. The city was the chief port of North West Asia Minor. His father a merchant, Perseus was exposed to a great deal of goods from every corner of the world. The exotic animals in particular caugh...

Monk disarm
The current phb does not list the monk class as capable of disarming. It seems like the monk class would be particularly competent at this task resulting from typically martial arts training. Any thoughts?

Re: The Ninth Hour Social Diversion Society
Wizzby Anklebiter (Gnome Druid) – The Burial Mound: Despite the deep unease I feel towards Old Ben, I defer to my comrades (now including our deserting Rogue) decision to bring him along with us to the Necromancer’s burial site. Something about him simply screams out to me: Danger – evil – caution. ...

Re: The Ninth Hour Social Diversion Society
Wizzby Anklebiter (Gnome Druid): I am the son of Wizzbang Wormgear though my name was passed down to me by my late grandfather Bamwinkle Anklebiter. Bamwinkle was the court inventor for the last great underground Gnomish city of Snebevlin, under High Tinker King Gebble Mekkatorque. Bamwinkle was pre...
