Re: C&C games at Gary Con?

My wife and I will be in attendance again this year. I am really hoping that Steve will be running a big game again! It was a blast last year..very noisy and rowdy but a blast!

Re: Gary Con dates finalized for 2014

Hey, the wife and I are registered to go again this year, our 2nd. We tried C&C first time last year. We got into one round of the tournament and the Friday night mega game with the Troll Lord! There were a ton of games of C&C this year! We need another week to fit them all in!!! We might be up for ...

Re: Gary Con dates finalized for 2014

My wife and I went last year, great Con! We didn't stay in the lodge but chose to stay in a small motel nearby. It was only about a 5 minute drive from the convention center and had nice weekly rates. However, with the copious amounts of Spotted Cow being imbided, I can definately see why staying at...

Animal Friendship idea

The thread on Animal Friendship spell gave me some ideas. The next time one of my players uses this spell I am going to randomly generate traits for the animal. I have seen charts where you generate personality traits for horses and thought of this. You could get a wolf animal "friend" and role up t...

Brindisium and "The Old Gods"

Greetings, I am working on ideas for a series of modules. I have been reading about Kyomar and Brindisium where the two deities left over from the Egyptian mythos were once workshipped. According to the material the rest of the pantheon disappeared long ago. Also, it says that the people of Brindisi...

Re: Ahhh! Animal Friendship, this is so abused....

@snoringrock Thanks for the fun game at GenCon. The Saturday morning game of was our (my wife and I)game of our first GenCon ever... On to post: I think I see Animal Friendship as a roleplay opportunity. I know the phrase is overused, but this is a fantasy world. We have always had Druid players in ...

Re: Haunted Highlands and Eskadia maps

My wife had an idea. If the sewer map had been flipped (on the double sided Eskadia/sewers map) then you can hold the map up to the light and litterally see what buildings the sewer runs under and where they come up. It was one of those DOH moments. It would work since maps are apparantly same scale.

Haunted Highlands and Eskadia maps

A tube came today with the Haunted Highland and Eskadia maps in it. The city and sewer maps are a must have and some of the sturdiest maps I have ever recieved. The city map even has the size scale I couldn't find in the book. I couldn't remember wether I ordered it with the Eskadia pre-sale, the Ha...

Re: C&C Flip Book VS. Combo PHB+M&T

The book has a glossy cover and is sealed versus stains I suppose. The art is so cool looking I am going to hate it when the edges start to roll up and become dogeared because it is softcover. It is a great book, black and white interiors are ok. For a book I will use a ton when I run games hardcove...

Re: C&C Flip Book VS. Combo PHB+M&T

I picked up a copy of the flipbook at GenCon. The cover art is really one of the best I have seen. I REALLY wish it was hardcover though. The art is so nice I almost hate to use it. Anyone know the best way to coat it without ruining or blocking the art? I have thought about laminating it.

Re: WTH?!? No C&C Gen Con action reports?

Saturday started off a little worrisome for me. My wife begged off for the day, so I hit the Con solo with a full plate, running two games and having only a short time in between for lunch, market and pre-game prep. And then, after that, only two people arrived for my 2nd session of the TLG C&C Tou...

Re: Gen Con 2013

Arg...it doesn't look like I'll be able to make to Gencon after all. My son starts grad-school in the August and has to move to Dayton/Cincinati area. Maybe next year. Planning on going to Garycon again though.

Re: Gen Con 2013

Perfectly understandable Omote. This will be our first year at Gencon (my wife and I) and we are playing in several on the grid games. We are looking forward to it a great deal! If we are lucky enough to get into an off the grid game then great! If we don't thats fine too. I know better than expect ...

Re: Hi an introduction

I beleive it was the last of the tournament games. I think you guys were have a C&C gathering immediately after. We were so close to finishing but happy hour and spotted cow got in the way. Damn those color coded free refill cups of goodness... Lots of fun though. I played the Dwarven Paladin with t...

Re: Gen Con 2013

@Omote High level C&C is appealing. I am in the Dry Rivers game on Friday until 11 with an early game on Saturday. Who needs to sleep right, heh. Unless I traded games. I noticed the Dry Rivers game is huge and a 3hr slot. Has anyone played this game? @Snoring Rock Tegel Manor is the one game I didn...

Hi an introduction

Hi all, I have been lurking for a little while and so I thought intros were in order. My name is Chris Taylor and I have been a DM since the early 1980's. (Sounds like an AA intro) I have dm'd for Fasa Dr. Who, Traveller, Rolemaster, Holmes Basic/1e/2e/3e and 3.5e before deciding I didn't like where...

Re: Gen Con 2013

What are the chances of "off" the grid games at Gen-con? I played in the C&C tournament at Garycon this year and had a blast. So, we (my wife and I) decided to try Gen-con first time this year. We are playing all 3 of the giant games, Dry Rivers Friday night and Gottland-Ne Thursday night. What are ...
