Re: Campaign set ups for Amazing Adventures ...

Do your character's like to read about their own adventures?
Or would you like to give your players a little hint about what they are about to go through?

Then maybe they would like to see their adventures show up on the cover of their very own pulp mag!

Re: Pulp Stories: What to Read?

I forgot about a site which has a number of character write-ups.
Although there are few links to online sources, or publishers. I've found the site excellent for giving me foundations for characters and villains.

Re: Pulp Stories: What to Read?

Thought I'd throw in a few links that you can check out and decide what you want to read. Knightraven Studios . IMO, worth checking out for their two 'Pulp Hero' novels, with a third on the way, and their free collection of downloadable public domain works. All Pulp Blog . A great place to check out...

Re: Campaign set ups for Amazing Adventures ...

Discovered a good write up for Conan Doyle's Maple White Land. Anyone thinking about taking their players to this classic lost world, or thinking about including a lost word as part of your over all setting, might want to take the time to read through it and see how you can adapt it to your own need...

Re: Campaign set ups for Amazing Adventures ...

Doing a little searching I managed to find this adventure starter.
It was written for Terra Incognita game. but other then making adjustments for the year in which your running your AA game, everything should work fine.
Warning! This is a link to a pdf.

Found another plot generator.
This one more focused on adventures of a supernatural/Lovecraftian nature.

CaptainTrips wrote:I picked up a copy in my local game store, The Guard Tower in Columbus OH, yesterday (Friday, 11/9).

So some stores are getting print copies.
On that same day the owner of Ravenstone Games, also in Columbus, told me my copy would in on Monday.
So they are getting out.

Re: Victorious: Victorian Adventure in the Age of SuperManki

Sounds like it might be possible to combine V! and AA into a generational game.
One where the grand, or great-grand, children of the V! characters become the British pulp heroes of AA.

Re: Campaign set ups for Amazing Adventures ...

IMO, an excellent resource for any gamemaster running a plup game is Lester Dent's Master Fiction Plot
For those not in the know, Lester Dent was the creator and primary writer for the Doc Savage series of pulp novels.

Have you since tried to re-download the file?

Re: Does, or does not, AA need a Meta setting?

I have to agree with Grey Elf. Adding a Meta Setting, imo, would limit anyone coming to the game. They might feel constrained to follow the setting outlines and thus limit their own, and their players, creativity. Having said that, I admit to using my own variations of Farmer's Wold Newton Universe ...
