Re: Worst fantasy movie ...
Right now my vote is The never ending story ... My wife decided to put it in for the girls tonight for Saturday evening movie knight . She complained that I have the girls watch Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, star dust, & Princess bride to often . I had forgotten how much I disliked this movie. I ca...

2 books to sell - people interested or knowing where to post an add?
Hi folks,
I'm looking to sell a few used C&c books, given that I bought newer printings
M&T 4th printing
Classic Monsters 1st printing
Where would be a good place to post an add for those?
Thanks in advance for any tips you may have

Looking for a haunted castle module
Hi folks, Was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a module that would take place in a haunted castle. Let me explain: my group is getting close to a castle that has been abandonned & has a dreadful reputation following some foul magic action years ago. I was thinking of vampirizin...

Two weapon fighting
Guys, Quick question. When it comes to two-weapon fighting, the primary weapon suffers a -3 attack penalty, and the secondary one suffers a -6, modified by Dexterity. Do you add your Bonus to Hit to the attack rolls? I've always thought that yes, but when re-reading the rule book, it's not clearly s...

Wand of light
Hi guys,
Very specific question, but where could I find the XP value of a Wand of Light?
I was reading through the M&T but can't find it.
How would I go on calculating the XP value of that specific item if it doesn't exist?
Thanks for the help

Re: XP for traps
I checked the CKG, indeed it gives a CL for each trap described, and gives you overall rules to design and CL your own traps.
So yeah, I guess it gives a measure of XP to be given to PCs when they find & disarm a trap

Quite the trip! :) Im not from either of these areas but I'm sure you will see a lot of interesting things In Lyon, don't miss the old "traboules" in the old city, these are pathways and alleyways that connected the buildings in old time If you have the chance, rent a car and go down to visit Carcas...

XP for traps
Hi all,
Simple question : do you allow XP gain for traps? If you do, is it the rogue earning the xp or the whole group?
Let me know how you do it, as in vanilla there doesn't appear to be any xp gain for whenever the group finds and disarms a trap
Have a good day

Re: Repairing a ruined castle
Cool stuff that whole owning a ruined place I find, it really gives lots of incentives to go adventuring and ideas for games, NPCs etc
And Telhawk, we should licence that game, like right now. Lets call it "Macho nerdos with dice"

Re: Repairing a ruined castle
Thanks mate, and my thoughts exactly. I see this as a giant opportunity to expand the campaign and ground the players somewhere for the long run, give them attachment to a place and leave the murder hobo days behind. But yeah, challenges will come their way too, need money for repairs... It's a grea...

Repairing a ruined castle
Hi all, My players are gonna explore and hopefully free an old ruined castle from a pack of orcs. I have a feeling they will want to appropriate the walls as their home and fancy themselves Castelans. I have some rough estimates for the value of repairs that they will need to undertake to make their...

Re: Questions about magic
Thanks for the answers guys, I was referring to the "read a scroll into a spellbook" rule that allows spellcasters to basically transfer a spell from a scroll to their spellbook at no expense, but destroying the scroll in the process. Was wondering if the same was doable with spellbooks to spellbook...

XP rewards for NPCS
Hi guys, Old question I'm sure, but how do you reward XPs when your PCs fight & defeat NPCS with classes? There are several methods I can think of: -basically calculate XP depending of HPs and special abilities as per the M&M rules -give a flat 5% or 10% of the XP needed to reach the appropriate cla...

Modules where PCs start out as prisoners
All is in the title :) In order to kickstart a new campaign set in Karameikos, I'm looking for a module where the PCs would start out as prisoners and would need to get out. Preferably 1st level or something. The only one that comes to mind is the old Black Boar Inn adventure for the Dark Eye, but i...

Re: How'd you get into Castles & Crusades?
Around 2010, I was growing very bored & tired with the rules bloat of 3.5/PF, I wanted something simpler & smoother that allowed me to use many old-school ressources and yet was still polished & modern enough to bring the best of both worlds. Read a review, downloaded the quickstart rules, and there...
