Converting classes
I have the old wheel of time d20 rpg. I'm interested in converting it to cnc. Any pointers?

Re: Half-orcs: How often do have you seen them used as PCs?
Half orc is my wife’s race of choice. Best looking half orc I’ve ever met  my group back in the day never played humans, I always did because no one else ever played them and I wanted some aspect of our game grounded in reality so I made the “sacrifice” and played my favorite class/race hum...

Re: Finesse weapons
The decipher rpg for LOTR did this. They used agility (dex) for accuracy then str to modify damage. I wasn’t a fan. 3e also did this with their weapon finesse feat. Again, I wasn’t a fan. That being said, using dex to resolve attacks isnt going to make a huge difference. Depending on which stat bonu...

Re: Alternative to the SIEGE system
I'm working on what i call siege light. I use modern attribute bonuses (12+1, 14+2, etc), but only allow the pc to add 1/2 their level to rolls. I've also removed bth values and replaced it with the siege light roll.

Re: Adding level
Dont over think it. CnC is meant to be simple to engage in role playing not roll playing. I default to add the level in most cases. Just follow the rule of cool and move on.

Barbarians adding CON to AC
Has anyone allowed their barbarian PCs to add their CON to the AC? Has it disrupted the game balance? I know it can be done in DnD. I was thinking of allowing a barbarian to do so if they elect to wear no armor, so their CON bonus would be used in addition to their DEX bonus when modifying their AC.

Re: Encumbrance
I do 1 of 2 things. RAW or limit encumberance to the PCs STR score then tell the players they can only carry a number of items equal to their STR score. Keep it simple. Resource management shouldn't slow down a game. If you want that, go play settlers of catan.

Re: Castles & Crusades - Barbarian Intimidation
For another prespective, I allow intimidate to continue as long as the barbarian swings at the intimidated target (regardless if they hit or miss). Large bad guys aside a barbarian with a bearded axe does a lot of damage (especially with a high str) so foes tend to die quickly and I try to encourage...

Pocket edition?
Question, what is the probability that we will see a small digest sized manual for cnc? Maybe the old flip manual reprinted as a pocket edition? Even though I have 4 copies of cnc in some form or other, I would buy a pocket edition, especially if it was a flip book of the phb and m&t!

Here are 2 mage knight repaints. A temple blade master and a crystal bladesman. I cut my wargaming teeth on Mage Knight so the minis have a special place in my heart
. I really like them. There is something about them. I have a small collection of them so I'll be pushing more out.

I can start doing that. No problem! 90% of them are from Reaper minis, games workshop or dark sword miniatures.

Re: New adventurers = new crusaders
My new group has a few sessions under their belt now and I must say (and I've said it a hundred times). I absolutely love the SIEGE engine. CnC is by far my favorite D20 iteration. It strikes such a great balance between mechanics and narrative. If you've been trolling around and can't decide if you...

Either one really. What do you need for your campaign is the real question. Here are two more. A head strong teenaged archer and her dwarf companion.

Giant Lizard
I want to run a one shot with my group featuring a local village being terrorized by a dragon. The heroes go out to investigate and learn that the dragon is actually a giant lizard and not a dragon at all. That being said, I looked thru M&T and Classic M&T and couldn't find any stats for a giant liz...

Arms and armor
I was reading thru arms and armor and I noticed a lot of the armor and weapons listed in AnA are different (stat wise) than what is listed in CnC PHB. Why is that? For example, the broad sword is listed as 2d4 in cnc, but 2d4+1 in AnA.
