<t>As is, you're right: aside from poisons, there is not much of a reason for Con prime. What I've done in my games as a house-rule, is if a PC goes into negatives, he must make a Con check not to be killed outright. It's already kept two of them alive. Actually only one had Con as a prime (luckily)...

<t>I can't comment on the experience cost since I'm not entirely comfortable with the C&C experience tables and what monsters award. From what I see you are going a long way to combining class abilities with skills. So much so that I'd abandon one for the other. You designed a vanilla fighter ex...

<t>Welcome to the boards, Renshai. Now to your question, like Death Slaad pointed out, there are no such rules as of yet -- although I'm getting really interested in the CKG. However, as it stands I don't see the benefit to having stats for monsters. I understand how it can help for the internal log...

<t>Yeah, the HL intro was cool. More is coming back to me now. The player had some control over the character during the intro. It was basic go here and there kind of stuff, but it kept him involved. Yeah, I now remember. Talk about mood setting! It was innovative and helped make the game, hence one...

On the contrary, I'm saying I will not be sold to it based on an incredible intro -- and yes, I agree, the intro is jaw dropping. <br/> <br/> While I suppose it is speculative to say that gameplay will no...

That intro was way cool, but it just makes me wish they'd do a Warhammer film. Gameplay will be nothing like that, so why advertise it like it was a movie trailer? There is a trend in video gaming to make the gamer more of a spectator than a participant.

I voted for the CKG but that doesn't mean it will be in the CKG. If not, going the PDF route is a great alternative. They can be separate articles; the player only pays for what he is interested in. The Spell and Class design are on top of my list.

<t>Practically any game system can handle any setting. d20 is proof of that. The real question is not based from the setting, but what it is you want the game-system to do. For example, d20 is very crunchy rules style gaming. The emphasis is on handling the rules to get the most out of them. C&C...

<t>C&C is a game about heroic PC's and not timid NPC's. That's why there isn't classes for them. It is too much crunch for a rules-light system. If you want to come up with classes for them, that's cool, but I wouldn't worry too much about balance or XP requirements; it's not like they're going ...
