Re: Haste & Slow Combat Affects
Did you actually read my post or are you talking out your a** again? Casting a wish spell is serious business. It should be risky, and magical aging as the sole side effect of casting the spell provides too little risk for the reward. Quoting the text of the wish spell is irrelevant to the entire p...

Why did it switch me to Mobile when I signed on? I'm on a desk top. Did you click link to switch to mobile style once to test it? It remembers your setting in a cookie, so once you have switched to mobile style it will always show mobile style until you click the link to switch back to desktop styl...

Kind of a terrible thing to do to new guys, but a Ring of Haste... let them use it till it kills them... Was there ever a chance for a system shock roll with the old haste kind of like, age a year AND a chance for a heart attack??? Seems fitting. One area the Trolls and I don't agree on i...

As your legs don't propel one through the air I'd say no effect. But, it would look funny to see the legs flailing at double speed.Kayolan wrote:How about boots of speed hasting a character who is under the effects of a fly spell? Thoughts?

Re: Haste & Slow Combat Affects
All the effects are in the spell description I believe. I believe so too. I think in C&C they only increase or decrease speed/movement, and reduce or increase attacks by one step. I don't recall their being an effect on AC. In C&C, especially when Combat Maneuvers are used, that movement be...

12" rounds of douglas fir out in the weather for several months set 30 feet away. Using 8" long titanium steel alloy blades with a max width of 1" weighing roughly 12-14 oz., leather wrapped hilts, no cross guard. Sunk each blade that stuck 1" plus into the wood. That's all? May...

Re: Two weapon fighting
Not necessarily true. We used to fire off 6 daggers within ten-twelve seconds using both hands at the same target set 30-feet away with absolutely no problem during our weapons practice with my sword smith buddy. Show me empirically, how much damage you did throwing both at the same time. Have you ...

Re: Two weapon fighting
Rate of Fire in the CKG, thanks, I do recall reading that once. Thanks, applies directly to bows, no cross bows, but omits the other ranged weapons. -2 for each shot when shooting two, -4 for each when shooting three, etc. Seems reasonable. Again, I would think the 10th lvl fighter gets two then th...

Edith Hamilton's translation of Greek Myths is what hooked me, as a young child, on those stories. Re: Custom made mini's
I've painted a ton of stuff for a client who deals exclusively with Hero Forge. The miniatures aren't bad - no "cartoony" figs yet - but I really don't understand all the hype surrounding them. What you get really doesn't justify the price point IMHO. The steel figures, in particular, are...

Re: Of Gods & Monsters Question
I prefer to not risk opening up any cans of worms, let alone that one. There are plenty of cool options already, so I'm not going to bother risking such potential arguments over what is supposed to be a fun, imaginary, game. I've not had a problem. Just make sure you have adults playing at the tabl...

The first is the trolls missed an opportunity to address Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, Christianity, etc. While some don't want to go there, there are plenty of Modern day worshipers of some of the faiths in the book (Native American, Norse, Celtic) so not dealing with "real" world faiths was...
