Re: Castles & Crusades Reforged?

I'm looking forward to it just because I am completely done with ALL THINGS WOTC. This. I will not buy a new book from them and n more wizkids minis etc. And this. I just wish I could get the few remaining ole Basic / 1e / 2e adventures or source/location pdfs that I haven't gotten without giving t...

Re: Your dream campaign

As of TODAY  I'd say the dream campaign would be either 1. A "Mythic Britain" game spanning 1189 CE - 1216 CE covering the reigns of Richard I and John. Lots of opportunity for action, RP, intrigue, politics, travel through Europe and, oh yeah, Outremere for some Crusades adventure. W...

Your dream campaign

I saw this info over at DragonsFoot and thought it would make for some interesting discussion.

Scenario:

1. You have all the time in the world to prep
2. You have 4-6 players who will happily play whatever system and campaign you want
3. It's going to be a weekly game

What do you run?

Re: Delay your turn in initiative.

Hi all, first post. Played C&C at Gary Con, really enjoyed it and I bought the books. I'm getting ready to run the system and some questions, even though I find the rules to be very clear and simple. For example, how do you handle a player that wants to delay their action in a round? It's proba...

Re: Castles & Crusades question - Perception

DrewD, Welcome to the board, always good to see a new face around here. For Perception I do wisdom checks (and yes clerics always have Wis Prime, but anyone can chose it as a prime if they want their character to be good at those things) and I have level added if what they are looking at/for falls ...

Re: Castles & Crusades question - Perception

First, hello forum! New guy here. :-) I recently decided to go back to 2nd edition because 5th ed has just kinda lost me. I miss the feeling of the old days. Still, once my group and I started playing, I found we were making house rules to make a few things make more sense. Then I found Castles &am...

I'm envious. I've never been able to go to a con. Nort Texas is the closest to me and one day I hope to go.
When you do, be sure to give a shout out here so we can meet if I'm also attending that year. I enjoy putting faces with forum names at conventions. 8-)

Re: North TX RPG Con 2024

This year I am going to be running the same event on two different days. My event is and AD&D 1E adventure that I wrote for Dragonsfoot a while back called "The Temple of Chaos." Basically it is an extension of the Keep on the Borderlands adventure. It will be offered on Wed at 7:00 P...

Re: Wands/Command words

Do you need a command word to operate a Wand? I know in AD&D you do, but the description in the M&T doesn't mention it. This came up in my game yesterday. The wielder was under the effect of a Silence spell but wanted to use a wand. Thoughts? I like using "Abracadaver" as the comm...

Re: Mythic Con (West)

Badges are super cheap compared to DragonCon in ATL and GaryCon in Lake Geneva. MC West will also be A LOT smaller with regard to (WRT) head count which is appealing since I no longer care to deal with the enormous crowds of bigger cons.
