Haven't posted in a while...
I've been playing a lot of Stone Age and Wrath of Dragons with my wife. We've also gotten in a few games of Talisman. Love all of those games, though I'm usually the loser.

Re: What boardgame(s) are you playing?
Just picked up The Legend of Drizzt today. So, getting ready to play that in a day or two. I really enjoy Castle Ravenloft, and this plays basically the same... so should be fun.

Re: Come Join Me...
While I have a rather large "collection", I collect to play and use, not for condition. So while some of my boxed sets were further damaged in the roll over accident we had on June 11th, the only RPG books/materials I was concerned about getting replaced were the ones that got fluid damag...

Any Facebook account I still have left is used solely as an excuse for dumping things that require it, like many online game syncs. I don't actually ever log into it for a real purpose. My "actual" account I cannot access as it was created using "serleran" as the name and I cann...

So who has advice for sign ups? The second it opens? Register the day ahead of time then on this Wed at 1 pm nail the games? Who recommends what games since there is only two CnC games? When and where does Steve do his big game? How does one get in on that? Thanks, first time ever going, so I need ...

Re: Origins in Columbus in June?
One of the only things I actually miss about Ohio is Origins. My wife and I used to go every year from around 1999 until 2008. Living in Oregon now and there are no cons that come even close to Origins. Wish we could still go. No cons worth even calling Cons in the PNW for the last decade you mean ...

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for... but I use this for all my minis. I like it because I can get as many inserts as I need and customize them for each mini... or generically cut them. And, I can get my books in there as well. http://crystalcaste.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&St...

Great info... and a lot of good stuff coming. For me: 2) Adventurers Backpack. I've gotten a large working outline on this and some of the classes made their appearance in Black Box. But the outline needs updated and the classes need thoroughly revised. But when done this book will serve as the Unea...

Here's a link to my Generic Game Master's Helper (GGMH). It's free (just choose $0) in the pay what you want area. It has a truly generic name generator. No choices on race or monster type. It is capable of generating some really cool names... some really goofy names and some really bad names... bec...

Here's my favorite Christmas gift this year. My wife made me a game master's traveling box. I can get rule books, dice, and all the other stuff I need for a game night, into this amazing box. She put the iconic character Drizzt Do'Urden on the front and a map of Faerun on the back. This thing is awe...

Just got back from seeing it. Something makes me say it wasn't great... but it was good. I really enjoyed it, especially the ending. Being a child of the 70's... having sat in a theater to watch the first Star Wars movie (12 times)... it touched me as it built to the point of the beginning of that f...

I've run many games at cons before (used to hit Origins every year and run some big games of D&D). If the wife and I decide to go, I'll pm you and see if you would want us to run a game or two. It would be fun.

Great stuff. Rose City has one in Portland, OR as well. I usually attend that one. Are you considering hitting more cons? Or do you need volunteers to hit bigger local cons??

Re: Worst fantasy movie ...
I think I'd have to go with Ator, the Fighting Eagle; I second this. It was a terrible movie (they made at least 2 but maybe 3... I have them on VHS but can't really remember). Truly, truly bad. The only thing that made it good was when it was chosen for an episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000.....

Re: Victorious Impressions - Print Copy
I'm impressed the most by just how flexible the game appears to be with out much modification. I plan on using V for a Star Wars game in the future with little or no change and I can see how you could use it for Sword and Sorcery game just as easily. R- I agree. That's what I like the most so far a...

Victorious Impressions - Print Copy
I thought I'd start a separate thread to discuss initial impressions of the print version of Victorious, so we can all talk about our feelings on the book now that it's arriving in homes. I've read the first 25 pages so far. I did skip the "what is a RPG" section because I've read so many ...
