The healing doesn't bug me as much as the power words...I can see the healing, but the Power Words come from raw arcane power illusionists explicitly avoid.

I read that same bit in the preview here, and I'm a bit confused as well...

Unless secondary attributes mean something more like half-elves special +2 to a secondary attribute? That seems to make sense since this appears to be a powered up setting.

It seems like monster/item SR were written with different SR systems in mind...especially the "on caster level checks made to overcome spell

resistance" in the spell resistance bonus line of the robes of the archmagi on page. But I'm probably reading that wrong.

Thanks for all the advice! All the players have complained about pace, and between the threat of lurking doom, a stricter no metagaming policy, and mastery of the tools, I'm hoping our next session will get along better. And maybe the PCs will see level 2!
