Casts "Raise Thread" again :D Actually, I'm looking for a Free RPG Day demo I'm going to be doing next month to possibly go the other direction, and place "The Village of Hommlet" in the Highlands. Do some of these ideas make sense for changes? Saint Cuthbert's temple in Hommlet ...

Re: Sticky: C&C cancelled due to WOTC lawsuit.

I was tricked. I guess it is bad on me that I do not put such ass hatery off the table as it concerns WotC. I wish WotC WOULD do something this stupid. It would put C&C's name out there ever more and would make for a great counter-suit and income for the Trolls. Any judge with more than one bra...

my first experience with C&C was around 2009 or so You created your account here in June of 2008, so you must be off by a bit. Perhaps, he signed up here to talk about TLG's d20 Lion in the Ropes or Mortality of Green and not C&C! :D Nah, I plead crappy memory and throw myself on the mercy ...

I've noticed that there isn't a forum section for minis or gaming accessories... and there probably is a reason that this noob doesn't know about... But since this thread has survived... First off, Slimy, you evil, evil man. :P After another long absence from the boards, I saw this headline and briefly plotzed. But to pick up from the conversation, my first experience with C&C was around 2009 or so, when I happened to see the PH at my (now late and lamented) FLGS, Third Pl...

Looking at them, I assumed that they were mostly intended to be NPC classes, for CKs to create memorable henchmen, since they all seem to be somewhat overclocked versions of the core classes.

Fudge only when necessary to make game better. Better is good. Fire is bad. ~O "...Richard Baseheart is good." I steadfastly refuse to fudge in a way that harms the players. But if I really don't want them to die for some reason (what can I say? I'm an old softie... :D ) I'll fudge a natu...

Proper use of C&C logos?

If this isn't the right part of the forums, please move it to where it ought to go. Thanks! Hi -- Since my Saturday group plays in a public place (a Coffee Bean in Torrance), I was thinking of putting up a small sign using the C&C logo to attract any other Coffee Bean customers who might be game...

Horseback/foot chase rules?

Maybe I'm just blind, but where in the PH/CKG are rules for chases, either on foot, or horseback or both? Re: Quick suggestion for the M&T

I'll have to check my copy when I get home -- I don't remember tables like that being there, though there is an extremely cool and useful (though not for the purposes I was looking for :) ) "ecologies" section for most of the M&T monsters.

Quick suggestion for the M&T

Now that everything's gonna be printed in color, if it's not too late, could I make a suggestion for the next printing of the M&T? Encounter tables by environment might be nice -- breaking down the monsters into the different environments they most likely would be found in.

Just a thought. :)

I can only speak for myself and my group, but after repeated rules arguments playing 3e, we went to C&C and at this point, will never go back. It works near perfectly for us. In fact, I've been able to play 1e AD&D modules completely on the fly right at the table with no issues.

Sorry - I lived under a rock from 1987 to 2008. What's the TSR HR series? Back in the '90s, TSR released a bunch of Historical Resource books -- covering Charlemagne's Empire, the Vikings, The Romans, The ancient Greeks, the Crusades, and the later Renaissance, up to (IIRC) the Thirty-Years' War. Re: Monster and villain tactics

One thing to remember with most monsters is that while they may have low intelligence, they're not imbiciles. Granted not all of us have knowledge of advanced tactics, but remembering that orcs and kobolds are smart enough to do feigned retreats to lead unwary pursuers into an ambush or to use cover...

Hey, I'm looking for about four or so players to fill a gaming group at a Torrance-CA-area Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. We've got two players (the remnants of an at-one-time eight-or-so strong group that sadly drifted apart) and a CK at the moment, and the party is in the very near future going to be...
