Eagerly waiting for "The Citadel of Forgotten Myths" by Michael Moorcock. A brand new collection of Elric stories just published in December.

Re: What Video Game(s) are you playing
My latest games: Assassin's Creed: Vahalla (loved it), then Far Cry 6, now going backward in the Assassin's Creed series and playing Assassin's Creed: Odyssey (still at beginning but loving it too). I rate Far Cry 5 and its offshoot Far Cry Primal, as much better then Far Cry 6, but enjoyed them all.

Re: What Video Game(s) are you playing
I’m thinking about trying out a CRPG on my computer. The last one I played was Might & Magic VI something like 20+ years ago. I figure it’s time to try a new one. I’ve got a solid laptop, so I don’t think hardware will be a limiting factor. I’ve heard good things about Wasteland 3 and Pillars o...

Re: What are you reading?
Wish me luck I just started Edward Gibbon's classic "The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire". I have the modern library's three volume unabridged version. So far very interesting and the archaic language is definitely forcing my brain to fire up all cylinders.

Re: Castle Keeper's Guide
Thanks; so basically it's still a few months away? And having been away myself for awhile, what's the deal with the 8th printing of the PHB? Any difference in content? Or just some layout & editing changes? I ask because I'm about to buy the 7th printing to replace the 6th printing I sold a cou...

Here's the latest update from Feb. 17th, 2021 from the Trolls about the kickstarter CKG. "Chapters 1-5 are going into layout and will be followed in short order by 6-7. Things are picking up now! Trollzah! The plan is to lay this out in tandem with the 8th printing of the Players Handbook start...

Just finished Imaro and Imaro 2: The Quest for Cush by Charles Saunders. Now reading Nyumbani Tales by Saunders, while waiting for the last two Imaro novels to come from Lulu. Imaro is a Conan-esque character, but instead of a European-centric medieval world, Saunders, being African American, drew u...

Re: Your Own Private Outremere
Hi, welcome to Aihrde! I've been running my players through the Darkenfold forest adventures, with some of my own thrown in. To the best of my knowledge, and I've been buying Troll material since 2005, there is no expansion for Aenoch. That area has the most adventures, the A series though. You may ...

Re: Adventurer's Backpack...
I've found the new Druid spell Open Sinkhole (1st lvl) a real challenge. It opens up a sinkhole 10-20 feet deep and 20ft +5' per level. It can be cast under foes so they drop into the hole and take falling damage, plus are now trapped at the bottom of essentially a large pit trap. My players have us...

Yggsburg is great! Ran a game through there some years back and got my players through the Upper Works before Gygax died and the IP dried up. I'm still bummed the Trolls were never able to finish all the town neighborhood Free Town of Yggsburgh supplements. Loved those. With those and just the Upper...

If you don't already have the CKG, then yes this kickstarter will be worth it. At least, as long as you are the CK in your group. One of the best GM books on the market, I think. You will find a ton of stuff to enhance your games.

Not yet. I did the 7th ed kickstarter and bought a bunch of stuff since, including World War Cthulu, and Pulp cthulhu, but until recently I hadn't anyone in my group interested in playing it. They like C&C too much. I've also read all the Lovecraft stories.

My home brew stuff is on my Discord server, but I've limited access for now. Also in the process of adding a few more races to the soup that folks should find fairly fun. Could be a good compromise and certainly wont' 'break' the game in any way.Captain_K wrote:might be why many house rule all class abilities are treated as prime +6.
A possible in between could be all class abilities if not prime get a +3.

Re: Prime vs Non-Prime
So I'm good with prime abilities get +6 with level and class abilities without prime get only level and most classes should not get chance to get into other class abilities. ..... This is how I run my games, and reflects my understanding of the rules. Though, by agreement of my gaming group, we are...

Just a rambling post on this late Saturday night. Though our attention seems to be on 5E products of late, its not the whole story. Davis Chenault and I are very focused on C&C & Aihrde. Here's what we are up to. Davis wrapped up Dens of Iniquity (though he still has a little on the primer I...
