Nice, I always like good honest homesketched maps.
Of course, now I want to drag it into Worldographer...

Thanks. It really is fun to do. Not sure if my scanner did it the best justice (which really means me, cause it's a good one, but sometimes it takes trial and error on the scan settings).Aergraith wrote:Nice, I always like good honest homesketched maps.

Got a few more coming.
How is Worldographer?
Might be time for me to move up from Hexographer which is cook and old school somewhat - but I'd like to see what other map makers can do.

When Saxbert uses his magic wish, he tries to bring Thurgood back but it doesn't work. Instead the void holding him is revealed ~ a plane of entrapment.
As he concentrates, he sees an ancient city (map/poster above without the text!!). The sky is dark. More images present themselves - and I will post some of them here:

A statue of a robed human with it's hand extended holding a pair of dice. The plaque at the base reads:
Rhuveinus the Noble Figure
“Should it be yea? Or nay?”
Vasilius Rex, MCMXII
This is the last image Saxbert sees as he seems to snap out of a trance. Many of the party members are looking at him with questioning expressions.

Re: Rhu's Sunday ~ Scandia, The Last Druid/Gaxmoor
It's in Beta right now and I can't get it to run. It works like Hexographer and loads Hexographer files, but you can scale hexes with it, so that you can zoom out from your Hexographer sized hexes and have a zoomed out hex made out of several of those hexes. You can do the same the other way and have detailed hexes for your normal hexes. That way you can have like a 24 mile hex, then show what is in it in 6 mile hexes, and then scale down to a 1 mile detail hex.Rhuvein wrote: How is Worldographer?
Also it's fixed some things and smoothed some functionality out from hexographer.

Thanks. I dl'd it and it looks pretty cool. More objects to place on the tiles. I briefly wondered if I could grab their tiles and load them into Hexographer, but I couldn't find where they are stashed on my compy. The format of the newer tiles probably wouldn't allow them to work anyway.

This is Princess Olivija of Dania, holding the Sword of Haakon! I think this can be Lavinia the Cleric as well (picturing her with a mace instead of the sword. Great artwork . .

And/or Penny may wish to use Penny-Whistle as well.
But if neither of you want to run 2 chars, no problemo. I can NPC them or have other NPCs join the party in search of Thurgood.
Besides, we'd only be using him to help find Thurgood and then he will go back upon his way (where-ever that was)!
Penny is level 4. I am willing to play her rather than have her npc'd.
Sorry about the misunderstanding re: Pickle. I rolled up a level 3 druid thinking that sounded like the level Gringnr was playing and thought I should match it.
And I got pretty excited because when I read the level 2 druid spells I saw Summon Swarm. I think you know we live with bees in real life and I could really picture that action! If a level 3 is out of the question then I might as well stick with Thimbleberry.

Well, and here I was feeling like taking a risk and pulling a card was all worth it, shooting me up two levels.
But now I see it was not such an exceptional thing!

The Grand Lodge of the Sylvan Druids
As the party walks into a large open area, they can see the Grand Lodge. A large circular building that is breathtaking in its beauty. A thatched roof rising to a point in the middle covers the top. Ornately carved banisters are on either side of the steps leading to the main entrance.
The porch that surrounds the lodge has railings that are also carved. A fantastic array of plants, bushes, flowers and small trees are arranged under and on the porch deck.
Lovely stained glass windows of different sizes and shapes adorn the walls around the lodge.
Gazing around the grove, the heroes see various sized gazebos and treehouses along with flower and vegetable gardens, fire pits, and a greenhouse. Druids are everywhere attending to their duties. A large totem pole stands to the side of the Grand Lodge.
A yellow-crested cockatoo is playing with a Maine Coon cat atop the deck railing, while chickens, goats and a llama walk among the busy druids.
Out back ~ you can see the barn, chicken coop, smokehouse, bee boxes and other structures.
Two large eagles circle above the grove and then a Cooper's Hawk flies out of a tree and lands upon Eusebius' out stretched arm.
Suddenly elves appear next to the group coming out of the bushes as Nicodemus comes down the steps along with Artemis to greet everyone. You swear you could see some pixies among the bushes that surround the lodge.
After Thurgood is brought to the infirmary, Nicodemus shows the the party to the common room so that they may deposit their things and. He then leads them on a tour of the lodge showing them the various rooms before they enter the main dining room which serves a a council room as well.
Wine, smoked cheese, nuts and fruit are on the table as the party sits down for lunch.
Roasted pheasant, grilled fish and various vegetables are served.

Session II ~ From the Druid Lodge to The Lost City of Gaxmoor!
The adventurers:
Aergraith as:
Saxbert, mighty human fighter
Gringnr as:
Thurgood, brave human wizard
Penny as:
Thimbleberry, discerning gnome druid
NPCs:
Lavinia, halfling cleric
Eusebius, high druid of Ash Grove
Galathil, elf archer
Arlyss, elf captain
Wynifryde, druid acolyte
Gaston the Bard
Benyaamen
The action:
After an early quiet supper, Gaston the Bard listens to Saxbert describe the various images that he saw when he used the magical wish spell in an attempt to bring Thurgood back from the void.
"Yes, it must be . . The Lost City of Gaxmoor!"
The High Cleric בנימין ~ Binyaamem casts the spell, gate to also try to summon the wizard back from his plane. "A demon has Thurgood in a prison shere. I could easily enter the plane and kill the demon, but I'm afraid it could harm the wizard and other souls that are present there! I did see a soul that I know and he will help us. But we must find another way to enter the void!"
Binyaamem sits down in his chair, gazing at Eusebius and Gaston.
Eusebius looks to the acolytes, "Please pour some wine for Binyaamem . . Gaston?"
"Yes, more wine for all. No more can be done tonight. Let us relax and enjoy the evening. I have brought some gypsy belly dancers for our entertainment!"
The ancient gnome bard claps his hands! And the music begins as the dancers enter the hall . .
Benyaamem sips from his goblet watching the dancers and then looks around the room at all at the table. His gaze stops when he sees Lavinia. She sits at full attention fully aware of all around her and sees the high cleric looking at her. She returns his gaze and he looks away.
"Hmm, perhaps!", murmurs the high cleric as he turns away from Lavinia. He silently realizes that the halfling female radiates incredible divine power. Way more than a lowly cleric. Still wondering in his mind, "she probably doesn't yet understand the ways of the righteous belief. With proper instruction and leadership, she could become a powerful force commanding divine energies. Together we could rule Scandia!"
