Goodman Games C&C adventures

Post by dawnrazor »

Can anyone comment on the C&C adventures published by Goodman Games? I've got a shot at buying them, but I dont know anything about them. Are they good? Worth buying etc.

I think I have ran all of them. I definitely recall running Mysterious Tower and Fingers of the Forsaken Hand, and my players and I both enjoyed them. The Tower became a permanent home base for one of the players. In Fingers the players felt RR at one point, because they had to find keys to get into certain areas at their level, but aside from that they liked it.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Bryce Lynch's review of the S&W version of The Secret of the Smuggler's Cove was pretty harsh. If you have tastes similar to Bryce's, the criticisms should apply equally as well to the C&C version.

Haven't used any of them to be honest. But again, I rarely use modules of any sort. Except Tomb of Horrors.

Just goes to show why I never listen to reviews who read, and don't play. Smugglers Cove is lots of fun.

I've run Secret of Smugglers Cove and Castle Whiterock (half of it so far, it's a damn big module). Both modules are good, that is we had a fun time playing in them. Still there is a bit of conversion work but it's quite easy to do. There are some guidelines on their forums somewhere on converting from d20 to C&C.
