Little Help Please

Post by Jackal »

Is there a "mark all forums read" button...and, if so, can someone please tell this poor idiot where to find it? Thanks.

I know there is because I am defaulted on it. But I do not know how to set them yet. Will update as soon as I find out.

In each forum, at least, when you're reading them, right below the "new thread" button, there is a "mark all read."

I've not looked for a global read yet, but I do think I saw it at the bottom of the page, above, and to the right of all the "who is on" stuff.

phpBB doesn't have such a button to my knowledge. But you don't have to make a thread 'read' in order for it to show up as read like you do with EZBoards. You just have to read it. If you want to make all threads read in all forums, log out and log back in.

Most of the phpBB forums have the "mark all forums read" feature, but it may depend of which version of the software.

My phpBB site has a mark all read so I know that some do. Here's hoping this one will eventually.

There is one now. Usual spot, same as DF. Whether or not it shows up depends on the theme used.
