Re: I am now to the point . . .

I've been at that point for years but it has taken years for me to learn to let go. ;) The last time I consulted 1st or 2nd Edition books? Probably in 2009 when editing the Trick on the Tain when I was looking at some existing creature equivalents in that system to make sure the stats I had 'measure...

Re: New PHB6 (it's on the way)

BAH! Try waiting when you know it won't ship till EVERYTHING is ready to go. International backers kind of get shafted in that regard. It's not TLG's fault of course but it's frustrating nonetheless. I only hope that everything is ready by GenCon -- it would be nice to have TLG in their booth having...

Re: The Person Who Runs C&C Games

To be honest, at the gaming table, I have been interchangeably referred to as the DM, CK, and GM. It's not because C&C is D&D derived either. It's more because D&D is what we are all familiar with and really the game kind of started it all. I've heard of people use DM for those who run g...

Re: SALE: Gygax Fantasy Worlds Books & Upper Works

Still need several of the GFW books, and that's a fair price. As for the CZ:UW, I don't know what the actual finishing bid prices are for a copy. Haven't looked in some time. I did see an open copy (signed by Jeffrey Talanian) go for 241 dollars at the auction at North Texas Rpg Con. Always wished ...

Re: SALE: Gygax Fantasy Worlds Books & Upper Works

Just some friendly advice... If you have the GFW slipsleeve case, you're underselling. If the Upper Works is in the shrink, which not all are, you're very underselling. Thanks Serl... No slipcase... and Upper Works is not in shrink. Am I still underselling because I realize I might be but as long a...

BUMP

While I haven't updated the list to illustrate all that is pending (yet) I've recently received inquiries that will hopefully see most of this lot sold (YAY). Not all. I'm preparing another round of items to be added between now and next weekend.

SALE: Gygax Fantasy Worlds Books & Upper Works

Ok folks, I'll be honest that I was on the fence with these items and I thought I'd post them here as we have some fans on these forums that would really appreciate what I'm offering. I have all seven volumes of the Gygax Fantasy Worlds Books which are as follows: The Canting Crew World Builder Livi...

Re: Black Box?

Thing is, Indegogo sort of sucks. I can't find the article I read breaking it down, but giant 2" foam dice ran on Indegogo and failed, then repeated on KS and hit like 1000% of goal with not a single difference in how they ran the campaigns (they say). it's 90% that KS has the market on crowds...

Re: Black Box?

Anything from Arcana Creations in the pipeline to capitalize on the new C&C books? A very good question and the short answer is yes. Sadly, things have been clogged in that pipeline for MONTHS. It's no secret that I have planned no less than 2-3 releases this year and that, ideally, they should...

Re: Black Box?

Very vague on the details but if it happens, it will be a Gencon release. I'd rather see the Trolls focus on fulfilling the two Kickstarters already in production than working on side projects. I am much more excited to see the fruits of the Three Sisters edited and in color. :) There is only so mu...

Re: Black Box?

Having said that, I'd be interested in learning more about this mysterious Black Box rules set. If it's a GenCon thing, will there be an option for those of us who don't attend GenCon? I'm positive that the fine folks at TLG will have this available to order after Gencon. Very much like the flip-bo...

Re: Stuff I'd Buy if TLG Made It

Consolidate and move forwards -- cuchulainkevin has the right idea but I think Troll Lord Games is entering an important phase in their development and a lot hinges on what they do this year and the next. The revamped, re-edited, and by the looks of it, beautiful color reprints of the core books was...

Re: Black Box?

According to Steve in the final hours (?) of the Kickstarter, he hinted at a 'Black Box'. Picture something like the White Collector's box but, instead of more of the same, with a few surprises including material taken / borrowed from the sort of stuff you'd expect to see in the Adventurer's Backpac...

The Upper Works is fantastic but I have actually considered selling my copy. Re: new C&C edition vs D&D Next

The method of Advantages in D&D Next is pretty cool though not very original. I've been trying something in the same vein for a couple years now as a replacement to the Siege Engine as well as adapting something for 'elite monsters'. The Advantages in D&D Next (mechanics-wise) are nothing li...

I love Barebones Fantasy and I love Castles & Crusades. If I come to a friend's game and they said they would be running Barebones Fantasy, I'd be very happy. However, if I were to choose between the two to run a game, I would probably go with C&C. I think there are a couple of neat things t...
