Re: Benefits of Joining

When initially thinking tiers... I was thinking a 'buy-in' (a membership fee) for higher tiers. Base tier would be free and still give you access to stuff. Higher tiers would have more premium incentives. The idea behind this to have the Legion support itself and products it produces. Think of it as...

Re: Society Logo Change

I think it's funky but in a good way. The one thing that caught my eye was and a bit distracting was trying to figure out how exactly the dragon was seemingly wrapping around the sword and holding up the treasure hoard in relation to the wings. It's looks a bit odd but it might be just because I'm s...

I just want Codex Nordica to match my leather copy of Codex Celtarum.

Not too hard to ask for right? ;)

Re: TLG 8509 Bluffside City on the Edge

Sadly I missed the window in this... More annoyingly is that there is no place to order it. So my two issues: 1) When something like this goes up (like the Book of Familiars), it would be nice to put an 'end date' so that some people who are interested (but may not immediately have the money on hand...

Re: Taking Inventory

I don't want to be a nay-sayer or be negative... As best said from Oddball (from that Clint Eastwood movie, Kelly's Heroes): "Always with the negative waves Moriarty, always with the negative waves." We need to pick a focus and start with fewer things and build up. Website, yes a Society p...

Domesday / Crusader

Steve... What would it take to resurrect the Crusader? I mentioned membership benefits the possibility of a tiered plan and I threw in the idea as a benefit a quarterly subscription. It takes time and resources obviously but what if a quarterly subscription to the Crusader was digital only and no mo...

Re: Benefits of Joining

Access to Domesday and other Society projects should be open to all. They need to be members to participate or have a say but once a project is finished and ready to be 'consumed', it should be open to all to encourage others to possibly join. Player Locator can be hit or miss. Certainly an option b...

Re: Collaborative Society Projects

A gestalt type world could be interesting long run but I think success would better be measured in short and attainable goals. The Dungeons of Blacktooth Ridge is an EXCELLENT idea. I'm actually less fussy about the Creature Feature Idea. A new item or critter could easily be put into a dungeon leve...

I am trying to remember the old dragon pic but my mind draws a blank... Or maybe I'm not sure which old dragon pic you are referring to.

Any help there? Is there a place I can easily find it to see it?

Re: Society Name Change

Awesome it works!

Yes, I agree that the idea of orders could work under Guild as well.

But I'm linking the Castles & Crusades Legion. I'm also probably biased in my opinion since I suggested it.

HAHA.

Having them as a pdf article that would be allowed to be downloaded would also be awesome. Then as far as the fact its a (for lack of a better word popping in my head) Periodical you could do a quarterly or yearly release where you have it formatted with a cover and table of contents then release f...

Re: Crusader versus Domesday Book

What occurs to me, however, is that maybe part of the problem is that the issues are so large that they are a lot of work to produce. We call it a newsletter but it's in reality an e-magazine, with a cover and fancy artwork and everything. Maybe an easier plan would be to scale things down to make ...

I wrote an email last night (a couple hours before the end of the Highlands Kickstarter).

I now await a reply but according the the order status, it is still in pre-order.

Hopefully I will have an idea where this is before the weekend.

So, what's the expected delivery date for this book? It's been about a month since TLG was supposed to get it and then turn around to start shipping it out.

Have other people gotten their physical copies yet?

Re: Crusader versus Domesday Book

I figure this would be a good idea to post this and get a few thoughts out as quickly as I can manage them during my lunch hour. Just over a year ago, when there was renewed interest in the Domesday given the state and fate of the Crusader, I took it on with a handful of people. As it turned out, as...

A couple people have reached out to me recently but in short, I put the Domesday on hold as I am pursuing other ideas and getting some work done on a particular project of importance to Arcana Creations. That said, I will have some sort of official response shortly with regards to the Domesday and f...

Reaper kind of got me covered in a big way... plus I honestly would like to get the minis from the last Kickstarter I did with Centre Stage minis before I commit to others.

Will take another look but finances are not what I'd like them to be at these days.

Re: New computer advice

Windows 8 does need some getting used to before you can be comfortable... it took just a couple hours for me. Once I figured out and started using the new features, I loved it -- as much as Windows 7. The so-called Metro interface, while better suited to a touch screen, works well enough with a mous...
