Re: Amazing Adventures Book of Powers

Not just that; a new set of powers that can potentially complement and augment those in Victorious! Between Vicky and AA, you can REALLY use the SIEGE Engine to run anything you like!

Re: [AA] The Book of Powers

As has already been discussed in some detail, as well as some rules provided for doing it, the "class building" of Victorious can be adapted to C&C as well as AA. Star SIEGE and Harvesters too, I imagine. Plus two of the people I game with, primarily Rigon, are coming up with a Star Wars rules set ...

Re: [AA] The Book of Powers

Hey, Mike, Steve and I have been talking about Book of Powers for awhile, now. It was intended to be a surprise release this year. I do understand that the Trolls are making a concerted push to get Victorious out A.S.A.P. For what it's worth, it took 5 years from submission to publication for Amazin...

Re: [AA] The Book of Powers

I'm excited about both product lines: Amazing Adventures and Victorious . I think that the ideas from both will cross-reference a lot (being both based on the C&C engine) and this will lead to double the fun! 8-) The way I see it.... * C&C for ancient and medieval fantasy adventures. * Victorious f...

Re: The Mummy characters

Scanned through all five pages of AA threads. Either it's not been moved or it's not obvious from the thread's title. (Or, I'm still blind as a bat and might have missed it.) I'll have to tinker with the search function and keep looking. ;) Now that I think about it, it may have been buried in anot...

Re: [AA] The Book of Powers

This hit facebook already, so I assume it's okay to post here. Here it is, folks--I've been waiting for Stephen Chenault to make the announcement so this is official. Releasing at Gen Con: The Amazing Adventures Book of Powers! This new sourcebook is jam-packed full of awesome. For example: Want to...

Re: Class and a Half

Thank you, Jason. That's most helpful, and don't fret about the time between post and response. I'm easy. :D Another way to tackle it is to average the die type, then lean towards the higher end. So in this case, you'd average 8+10 to come out with 9, which puts you back to 10 (since there's no d9)...

Re: Class and a Half

Hey, man, I JUST TONIGHT saw your post on G+ about this. Answered it over there, but to clarify here as well: Admittedly the table in the AA core book could be laid out better. It's essentially the same table as in the C&C PHB on page 188 (in the current printing). The first column is the HD of the ...

Re: [AA] The Book of Powers

If you're talking about Victorious (which I assume you are since you wrote it), I honestly haven't seen a word of it and I'll lay odds this book is entirely different. As far as I knew, Victorious was a Victorian game with street-level superpowers. Angel and demon characters, vampire and werewolf ch...

Re: Amazing Adventures quick start?

TLG has changed their approach to introductory modules/quick start rules. The original adventure has been redone as a full adventure module; if/when TLG releases it, I'm not sure. At some point I will do another that will use the new quick start approach but my plate has been very full with project...

what I had said about +8 is "A 4th level Paladin with 15 DEX and Heavy Crossbow has +4 to hit whereas a 4th level Gadgeteer character with 15 DEX and Blaster Pistol (from companion book) has +6 to hit due to Accuracy of +4. If we added the difference in BtH then the Gadgeteer would have +8, TWICE w...

Re: Accuracy balance in Sci-Fi characters in Fantasy campaig

I don't necessarily believe modern weapons are more accurate than traditional weapons. I recently read about hunters in South America armed with hand crafted bows who could not only stand balanced in a canoe but shoot a small bird on the wing through the neck. A casual called shot for the observer....

Don't take this the wrong way. I'm enjoying the game and rules are a huge part of that. Just making some recommendations and feedback to make them even better or at least give some feedback to those who want to tailor the game. Not at all. You make very valid points. Disagreeing doesn't negate that...

And backed it on Kickstarter! I agree, keeping the rules expansions on 5e minimal and tight has been a real benefit to the game. 3e and 4e were beset with so many rules, and things got very broken at the end of each. If someone were to force me to return to either of those editions, I would mandate...

Re: FREE AA Character Class: The Demon Hunter!

Putting together a custom class section would pretty much knock out all of my other RPGs out of the park in making AA my modern/SF/Pulp go to system. If you read the Companion carefully enough, you'll see that there are guidelines for making custom classes in there. I've also got a few thoughts abo...
