I don't know who this nwelte is, but darn it, I like the cut of his jib. He sounds like he is from somewhere friendly in the mid west.

Re: What should I run next?

One thing I was thinking of doing was having you guys pull out your old highest level characters, and run you through the BECMI series, starting with Test of the Warlords. Probably end with Death's Ride. Sounds like fun. never played any of them (or really, anything in mystara, I think). Always wan...

Re: Victorious will be next...

I wasn't taking it as a criticism, just telling you how I define a balanced encounter. I've never really seen a balanced supers game. Maybe M&M tried it but there seemed to be loopholes. I did play in a fun game of Wild Talents where we played characters who were among the first to turn into su...

And here is a brief snippet from a passerby. Father McGarrity was troubled, and when he was troubled, he took Napoleon for a walk. The bulldog was always eager for a chance to amble through his territory, serenely nodding to the obeisance of the local folks and local mutts. Occasionally, he would pa...

Ok. Ok. Here is the real report Professor, as you requested, I will post some of my experiences so you may analyse how I store my memories. I know that you intend this exercise to humanize me, but we both know that can never be. I am but a machine, the only question we are now concerned with is what...

Treebore mentioned that he was looking for some game content so I thought I would add a little bit. I know some of you have been waiting eagerly for some written record of Galahad's deep thoughts. So, without further ado, here is a snippet from the reports of Galahad the construct: 01010000 01110010...

Re: Monday Night Kingdoms of Kalamar Game

A mail hauberk +1 will give me +6 to my AC. Unfortunately, that is the same as the Cuir Bouille +2 I'm already wearing... if I went with an Expert Mail Hauberk, assuming one can be made back in town, and wore the +2 ring that would be a net gain for me. The other option is to wear the plate mail fr...

Obviously they are abstractions and shouldn't really stack, but the sword does have to penetrate the chain mail AND the leather. It's not totally loony for them to stack and give you a dexterity of 3 and weigh what they both weigh + an unwieldiness penalty. Back when I first played, none of us owne...

Plus, I've never seen a combat with trolls go that well ! I believe...

This just occurred to me while reading this thread...I could play Harry Flashman! LOL! Mike, Flash by nature? I had to Google that one. Tree, just curious, what year were you supposing the game would take place in? Pre-Civil War, post-Civil War? Just trying to figure out my concept a little more. R- Good question! I haven't really thought about it. Hmmmm... Should I start it in 1837, or a later date? Hmmm... I think I am going to h...

Re: Victorious will be next...

I've been thinking about my character concept. I'm strongly leaning toward something like Batman or Hawkeye. Basically, a normal human with an abnormal skill set that allows him to hang with the "Supers" of the world. Though, as of this writing, I am leaning more toward the Hawkeye concep...

I'm surprised that this obviously epic fatal battle is not noted in greater detail or even a poem. The brave heroes gathered, virtuous and fair before them, stairs descended into blackness The knight wondered "What's down there?" The paranoid rogue was rather less curious But they gathere...
